Surgical menopause can feel isolating — but you don’t have to figure it out alone. Our peer support group is a safe, welcoming community for New Zealand women who are preparing for or living with surgical menopause.
Who it’s for
The group is open to women from or living in Aotearoa New Zealand who have had both ovaries removed or expect to, are experiencing early menopause following hysterectomy, or medically-induced menopause (chemotherapy, radiotherapy). Healthcare professionals who offer evidence-based support are also welcome.
What to expect
A private, moderated Facebook group where you can share experiences, ask questions, find practical advice, and connect with others who truly understand. The group is moderated by volunteers from SMNZT. Respect, kindness, and confidentiality are essential.
| This is a peer support space, not a medical advice service. Always consult your clinical team for medical decisions. |
How to join
| Join the Facebook Group | Or search “Surgical Menopause NZ – Peer Support Group” on Facebook |
If you’re unsure whether the group is right for you, feel free to contact us. We’re happy to help.
