Surgical menopause can feel overwhelming, but you’re not alone. Our peer support group is a safe, supportive community for New Zealand women who have experienced or are preparing for surgical menopause.


Who It’s For

  • Women from or living in Aotearoa New Zealand
  • Those who have had both ovaries removed or expect to in the future
  • People experiencing early menopause symptoms following hysterectomy or medically-induced menopause (e.g., chemotherapy, radiotherapy)
  • Healthcare professionals who offer general, evidence-based support

What You Can Expect

  • A private, moderated Facebook group
  • Monthly online meetups and ongoing discussions
  • Shared experiences, practical advice, and emotional support
  • Resources to help you understand and manage your journey
  • A respectful and confidential environment

Privacy & Safety

The group is moderated by volunteers from Surgical Menopause NZ Trust. It’s a closed space to help ensure members feel safe and supported. Respect, kindness, and confidentiality are essential.
